9 people killed in violence in Manipur


Nine people were killed and ten others were injured in fresh violence in Manipur, India on June 14, 2023. The violence occurred in the Aigijang village of Manipur’s Kangpokpi district[1][2]. This is the largest casualty in a single incident in the continuing incidents of violence in the state in the last few weeks[2]. The victims were either sleeping or just finished their dinner when the extremists rained bullets from their sophisticated arms[1]. The injured were immediately taken to various hospitals[1].
