Netherlands free sunscreen program for skin cancer prevention news



The Netherlands has launched a free sunscreen program to tackle the record skin cancer levels in the country. This summer, sun cream dispensers will be made available in schools, universities, parks, sports clubs, and beaches across the country(https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/jun/12/netherlands-free-sun-cream-record-skin-cancer-levels). The initiative was launched in response to the increasing incidence of skin cancer in the Netherlands. The sunscreen is being provided by the Smeerkees company, which has installed "sunburning poles" that pump out SPF 30 sunscreen in over 100 locations throughout the country, including Amsterdam's Westerpark and the Zwarte Cross(https://dutchreview.com/news/politics/free-sunscreen-in-the-netherlands-this-summer/).
